Okay everyone, here is my favourite music of 2024. Also, the yearly facelift of this website is live. What do you think?
Cortisol levels felt very high this year and I think that contributed to my listening patterns. A lot more instrumental, abstract, and ambient tunes were on rotation. But when there were lyrics they were maaaad. Or very chill. Or maybe there were no patterns and I should not put myself in a box? Breathe. Enjoy the ride.
I've left out giant pop culture moments you've likely already heard about like Beyoncé and Kendrick because they don't need the streams. They are great. Don't come for me fanz.

Two amazing records in one calendar year from a project with Thom Yorke.
Mustafa – Dunya
It felt like the world needed this album in 2024.
Waxahatchee – Tiger's Blood
This sounds like an album of songs you already know. Just listen and sway.
MJ Lenderman – Manning Fireworks
More songs that sound like classics. One of my favourite lyrics of 2024 is on Wristwatch.
Cavalier – Different Type Time
I met Cavalier in Seattle this year when he opened for billy woods and Kenny Segal. I think he overcharged me for this vinyl at the merch booth but I'm not mad. He's an amazing live performer too.
E L U C I D – Revelator
This is underground hip hop but feels like a fresh version of protest music in 2024.
